Ribbon Imprinting Tips
It is important to make the messages on
both sides of the ribbon to be as proportionate as
possible so that when we are making your custom item, it
will appear much more fitted. For example, Lets say that
the name on the ribbon is:
Jane Smith
We usually put the date of the occasion next to that
name on one side of the ribbon so it may look like:
Jane Smith 08-03-08
The other side of the ribbon is used for messages
such as: "My Baby Shower". The ribbon would look much
better if the two sides are of similar length in spaces.
For example: Jane Smith 08-03-8 is 19 Spaces. "My Baby
Shower" is 14 Spaces. This combination would be fine; it
is only a 5 space difference.
A bad idea would be something such as having a name
like: Jane Johansson Amber Smith 08-03-08 which is 35
spaces compared to the other side of the message which
would only be 14 spaces if using "My Baby Shower". The
difference in length would make the ribbon very awkward.
We will always try to make the best combination for
the ribbon printing. For example, if you want the name:
Rebecca Hernandez as the name on the ribbon with the
message "It's A Girl", since the name is 17 spaces and
the message "It's A Girl" is 11 spaces, we would move
the date over to the "It's A Girl" sign to make it
appear like "It's A Girl 08-03-08" making it 20 spaces
long and a 3 space difference with the name, which makes
a great appearance.
It is not necessary to put a
date on the ribbon if you do not want one, you may leave
the date field blank if that is the case.
